Swimming Lessons

This summer we decided to put Little Man in swimming lessons and he did a great job. The first few days he was a little timid and then decided to whine throughout most of the remaining lessons. The one thing that I noticed was that he would whine, but was completely obedient.... Hmmmm. Here's how the lessons started .... At this point, I wanted to jump in and rescue him, but I knew that he would begin to like the lessons (I hoped)

Here are some videos of him swimming and by the end he was smiling. He is such a good little fish. This one was the first time off the diving board....

And this was how he progressed off the diving board...

And diving for sticks off the bottom step was his favorite, he even starting instructing the coach what he was going to do....

And for some updated pictures of Ax Man. Little Man loves his brother so much, this morning he decided to read to him in his swing. I tried to get a picture of him smiling, but was quickly instructed by Little Man to go upstairs. Am I supposed to be disciplined by my two year old?

We have Ax's 2 month appointment today (He now weighs 12 lbs 12 ozs and is 23 1/2 inches) and he is now officially bigger than Little Man was at this age. Take a look at these pictures of Little Man and Ax, do you think they look alike???

One last note, do you like the new look of my blog... Thanks to Astraea for redesigning and giving it a fresh look :) I love it!!! (check out her website).

Why Not Try Spanish

Teaching a toddler can always be interesting. I have been trying to teach Little Man to count to five for awhile and he always seems to count... 1, 2, 3, 5 and smiles at me with this grin that totally says, "I know what you want me to say, but I don't want to say it". And then when my mom was in town she counted to ten in Spanish three times and guess what... Little Man has been running around the house singing Spanish numbers since then. Hmmm, maybe it all started with the Piggy Bank that I bought that only counts in Spanish......

And a post would not be complete without updated pictures of the two brothers.. Ax loves his activity gym almost as much as Little Man, especially when they can cuddle in it together.
